Hi, Iām Moses, also known as MathSifu.
You might have found me while looking for a Maths tutor. But what I really do goes far beyond formulas and exam prep.
For over a decade, Iāve helped hundreds of students across Singapore sharpen not just their Maths skills, but their mindset and strategy, using a unique blend of MOE-aligned teaching, psychological insights, and real-life problem solving.
I believe mathematics isnāt just a subject, itās a way of thinking. It provides a set of powerful lenses for logic, creativity, and resilience.
My mission? To grow independent learners who can think clearly, adapt fast, and take ownership of their own path.
If youāre a student, parent, or lifelong learner who values clarity, critical thinking, and self-mastery, welcome.

1. What makes your approach different from typical tuition?
I donāt just teach students how to solve Maths problems, I teach them how to think.
My approach blends academic mastery with mindset training, strategic planning, and real-life clarity.
Itās not about drilling worksheets. Itās about building learners who can face challenges independently, think critically, and make decisions with confidence, inside and outside the classroom.
2. Do you only teach Maths?
Maths is my core subject, but itās also my vehicle to teach thinking, resilience, and strategy.
I'm opening up to teach G3 Computing for upper secondary students too.
Beyond that, I guide students through subject choices, study planning, school life decisions, and personal direction.
I work with students who are seeking clarity, not just in numbers, but in how to navigate learning and life with purpose.
3. How do you support students who are unmotivated and lost?
I meet them at where they are - without pressure or judgement.
Motivation is not about all the 'ra-ra', it's about guiding them to be more aware of the everyday things they are doing, see the why behind their actions (or inactions) and equipping them with tools and strategies and walk out and overcome their challenges.
I create space for honest conversations, small wins, and gradual ownership. When students feel understood and acknowledged, they will begin to move on their own.
4. What kind of students benefit most from working with you?
Students who are ready to take responsibility, even if they donāt know how yet.
I work best with learners who are curious, thoughtful, humble, coachable. They might feel stuck at times, but willing to try.
Whether theyāre high-performers or late bloomers, my role is to sharpen their thinking, guide them through confusion, and walk alongside them as they grow.
